The WISC ( Women in Sailing Challenge ) is a series of 6 races skippered and crewed by women. Its being run out of Sandringham Yacht Club. This year 20098-2010 we have well experienced crew and will go it alone without mentors putting tinot practice all the good things we've learnt.

The race was a passage race from Sandy to Port Melbourne and back, then round a few Sandy Marks. We satrted on a beat all the way to PM79 then a big run in which the wind died off a bit. There was great work with the pole and thanks to David the guy ran smoothly with a few blocks attached to the back staunchions. Pole handling was by Halina, Kate and flown by Jane. We were all a bit weary after 39degree heat and no breeze on the downwind run.
